Balazuc, Labeaume, Saint-Montan, Vogüé... the Ardèche now has about twenty villages with the "Villages de Caractères" label. This figure could well double soon because many other picturesque villages of the department are on the right path to obtain this label, created in 1996 and awarded by the Departmental Committee of Tourism. Each village, each visit, will enlighten you on the traditions and know-how of the men and women of the region through architecture, heritage and a remarkable land.
